Dentist – Dr. Richard E. Vachon

Dr. Richard Vachon has had an established dental practice in Manchester, NH since 1977. A native of NH, Dr. Vachon attended St. Anselm College for his undergraduate studies and attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston for his advanced dental degree. He has extensive post graduate studies in all fields of General Dentistry, including Endodontic (Root Canal Therapy) Cosmetic and Esthetic Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontal Maintenance (continuing care for gums and bone around the teeth), and Patient Centered Care, all targeted to better serve our patients.

Currently, Dr. Vachon is the president of the New Hampshire Dental Society and has served on the board in various roles for the past five years. He has been very active in the community and donates his services to children and adults in Manchester and nearby communities. Dr. Vachon was administrator of the Albert D. Poisson Special Care Dental Facility at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester for 10 years. He is also a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Vachon has enjoyed being a member of the medical/dental staff of the Manchester Monarchs Hockey team for the past six years. He also devotes much of his time to his ongoing education in the dental field. Dr. Vachon’s hobbies include youth sports coaching, gardening, and photography. He also enjoys traveling with his wife Yvette, and spending time with his family which include his son Jeff, and his daughter Catherine.

Dr. Richard Vachon is pleased to announce that his son, Dr. Jeffrey Vachon, has joined the practice this summer.

Dentist – Dr. Jeffrey Vachon

Dr. Jeffrey Vachon graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology from Bates College in 2002. He moved to Boston and began working in the Cardiovascular Medicine Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital conducting research on heart disease, specifically Atherosclerosis. His work culminated with the study’s publication in the October 2005 issue of Circulation, Journal of the American Heart Association. Dr. Vachon later accepted a Clinical Research Coordinator position at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute conducting breast cancer research. Witnessing the positive impact that his father has had on NH communities, combined with the desire to make a difference in the health field, has served as motivation to pursue a career in dentistry. He is a graduate of Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine, as is his father.

Dr. Jeffrey Vachon excels in care of children, patient education and, of course, the technical skills of dentistry. He is accepting new patients and looks forward to working with excellent staff members and loyal patients.

Hygienist – Brigitte Crocker

Brigitte has been working with Dr. Vachon since 1992. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1983 from the NH Technical Institute. In 1993 she became certified in Early Childhood Education. Brigitte has participated in dental clinics sponsored by the Visiting Nurses Association and Child Health Services, which aid underprivileged children. She and her husband John have a son. In her spare time she volunteers at her son’s school, enjoys antiquing, going to the beach, biking and spending time with her family.

Hygienist – Melissa Bosteels

Melissa began working with Dr. Vachon in August 2008. She received her certificate in dental assisting in 1996 and her degree in Dental Hygiene in 1998, both from NH Technical Institute. Melissa and her husband Daren have two children. She and her family enjoy snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, auto racing, going to the beach and all backyard activities.

Receptionist – Ann Blanchard

Ann has been working with Dr. Vachon since 1987. She previously worked at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester as a nursing assistant. Ann and her husband Warren have two boys and two granddaughters and one grandson. Ann and her family enjoy traveling, camping, and attending sporting events.

Assistant – Ashley Stinson

Ashley began working with Dr. Vachon in October 2007. She received her certificate for Dental Assisting from the NH Technical Institute. In her free time she enjoys traveling up North, fishing, canoeing, and camping.
